The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Science and Technology Senator Shibli Faraz, Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin ul Haque, adviser to the PM on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, federal secretaries of relevant ministries, chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Executive Director of the Frequency Allocation Board (FAB) and other officers.
The Federal Minister of Information Technology attended the meeting. He told the committee that the sale of the spectrum would play an essential role in promoting and advancing technology in Pakistan. This is an event of crucial importance for Pakistan which will play a role in developing Information Technology. The main reason for holding this auction is the positive impact on Pakistan’s economy, which will take place directly as mobile broadband spreads. Furthermore, it will have a significant effect on government revenue.
