Asus has launched a new tablet in China today at a very affordable price but with thousands of features. The tablet is powered by Android's OS and can be pre-ordered in China from this month at a nominal cost of $247 that translates to PKR 37,000. Although the tablet has been launched only in the Chinese market right now, it is expected to release globally very soon.
The tablet has a 10.1 inches screen, has an impressive FHD+ resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The tablet runs on Mediatek's 8183 processor having a RAM of 4GB and storage space of 128 GB under its hood. The choice of processor is an interesting one since usually, the tablet companies are using Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 888 processors. Whereas the Mediatek processor was announced in 2019, earlier than Qualcomm and is therefore previous gen. Could this affect the tablet's operating speed? That is yet to be known, as more reviews and reports will pour in the next few weeks.
The Mediatek processor has eight CPU cores comprised of Cortex A73 and Cortex A53 cores in a big.LITTLE configuration. The graphic card employed is an ARM Mali G72. The camera has a well-to-do 8MP sensor at the back with LED flash, while the selfie camera is a 5MP one. The thickness of this device is 8.4 mm and weighs 540 gms, making it sleek and lightweight. Battery life is a stupendous 7,300 mAh that the company claims will have 6 hours operating time with a USB-C port that allows for faster charging.
